Dickens Heath library provides a wide range of adult and children's
books and DVDs. There are fourteen computers with free internet access
and email, with both colour and black & white printing available.
Photocopying and fax facilities are also available. There is a meeting
room available for hire. Regular storytime and rhyme time sessions for
the under fives are provided. For information about these and other

During the summer months there is a Summer Reading Challenge for children where they read six books over the summer holiday period and on completion receive a certificate and a medal that is presented in a school assembly.

Dickens Heath Medical Centre is situated in the Village Centre, between the Library and the Village Hall. There are five doctors, two nurses and attached health visitors and midwife. The Dickens Heath Nature Reserve is located beside the Stratford–upon–Avon waterway, adjacent to the Waterside luxury apartment and penthouse development. The nature reserve project was undertaken by Parkridge in consultation with Solihull Council and now provides both an area of nature
conservation and a community resource for recreation and education. The Nature Reserve is a valuable asset, providing education and enjoyment to the Dickens Heath community for years to come.
The Village Green is a 2.5 acre leisure and recreation open space, including a children’s play area. Events and community activities are held on the Village Green including the popular annual Picnic on the Green event in July. Contact the Management Company for event use of the Village Green. .
Dickens Heath Village Hall is a key community facility providing an excellent venue for events, classes and meetings of up to 150 people. The large multi purpose hall benefits from large windows on both sides, overlooking the Village Green and central courtyard areas.
